Bio:
The Noise Temple was originally started as a recording project. We named the band after my personal Recording Studio, and initially started recording with a loose conglomeration of friends. We'd write and record and just see what happened. We determined early on that we were going to have a hard time developing a solid cast, since the core of the band, Dave Bitton, Pete Johnson, and me (Erik Anderson) seemed to be the only members of the team able to consistently produce solid music. After distilling it down to just us and Andy, we determined we would record whatever the hell we wanted, and figure out how to play it later. So, initial shows with Andy involved some sequenced instruments and backing tracks, allowing Dave Bitton to jump from Drums to Keys to Guitar as needed. The first album varied widely in genre, including metal, hard rock, blues, and jazz songs. We were looking to drag our knuckles a bit more with the next one.

Once we parted ways with Andy the vocals fell to Dave and I. Dave has the better voice, but some tunes are tough to Drum and sing on, so I also do some of the vox (I was the front man/bassist for The Illuminati and Cult of One in the past...). Right now we're working on sequencing the live show and auditioning other members who can multi-task. If we can locate a Drummer/Keyboardist or Drummer Guitarist, we'll go all-live when we start doing gigs in February-March. If not we'll use sequenced instruments and backing tracks to duplicate the performances on the CD. The new member may be difficult to find, we're told we don't play nice with others. One former member suggested we we partied to hard (we do!) and we were unproductive (we're not!). Having recorded 30 songs in 18 months, I think we can call that sour grapes. Either way, we can't wait to get out and do a few shows. Our preferred format is not to play clubs, but to play private parties, where we can interact more with the crowd and involve them in the show. If you're interested in having the freak-show that is The Noise Temple play an event, club or party, contact Erik at lownoterider@gmail.com , or 920-675-6229.

We're finishing up our second CD right now. It's our 2nd release, the first was last year's "Brain Soap, Suicidal Clowns, and Other Disorders", a 12 song release we did with our original vocalist, Andrew Butt. And yes, that's his real name. We had creative differences, Brain Soap was more of a trippy hard rock album, we wanted to get heavier, sludgier, and head down more of a stoner-metal path, so we parted ways amicably.

Right now, we're trying to choose which songs we're putting on the CD, we've recorded 16 songs and we intend to narrow down and start on the Third CD right away. We're working on a title and CD art right now. I'm completing final mixes and Mastering as well, should be done Dec 15-ish.
