Bio:
Scofflaw is a metal band from Green Bay WI that was formed in 2006 by rhythm guitarist Jeremy and also included Matt on drums and Josh on vocals and a revolving cast of other guitarists and bass players. Originally Scofflaw was a cover band playing tunes by Sepultura, Hatebreed, Machine Head, Motograter, Korn, and Fear Factory, etc... By the time the current lineup was in place in December 2006, Matt had moved to percussion, Andy had jumped in on bass, Shannon on turntables, Robino on drums and Ghost on lead guitar. All agreed to drop covers completely and spend nine months writing original material. In August 2007 they launched their war on the Wisconsin music scene, relentlessly playing gigs in Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, and other cities and opening for bands such as Dope, Ra, A New Revolution, Bobaflex, Bleed the Sky, Straight Line Stitch, Green Jello and more. On April 6th 2008 they entered Spyder Studios in Strongsville OH at the recommendation of Thom Hazeart (Corporate Punishment records) and began recording their debut EP with Ben Schigel the singer of the band Switched and engineer of albums by Allele, Chimera, Drowning Pool, Rikets and more. After returning to Green Bay they again began playing nonstop in preparation to bring their CD to the masses. More recent in times there has been another line up change. Bass player Andy has left the band for personal reasons and Scofflaw has welcomed Stew into their little disfunctional family. A band with the determination to make music their living and bring their message to the world one brutal show at a time; Scofflaw has won many fans over to their brutal yet melodic sound, and have been called the most entertaining new band to watch by Green Bay hard rock station WZOR Razor 947. They have self released their four track EP in June 2008, and plan to push out of Wisconsin and play more widely. Be prepared for them to devastate your town soon. You have been warned...
