Bio:
Our current line-up is the most powerful we've had so far on our journey to
become a major band, mainly because all of us sing our songs now, where as
before we had only one singer for the band. We also have dedicated members that
are willing to play shows no matter what the outcome of the show or where the
shows are located. We all have very positive outlooks about where we are headed
and what lies ahead for us. Most of our equipment is new and updated to make our
sound very efficiant and tight. We are starting to play bigger Venues and play
with bigger named bands, as well as taking on the responcibility of setting up
our own shows and booking other bands to play our shows. We are all very
respectful of all bands, Venues and staff members working for the events we play
at. We love playing any show at almost any place with any band that wants to
play with us. We have merchandise which includes t-shirts, buttons, stickers,
cds, can coozies, patches, and we have other things on the way. We have been on
two self-funded tours from Wisconsin to Florida and back, hitting up as many
places as we could in that 2 1/2 weeks we had to do it. Our second tour wasn't
as successful as our first one as some of the shows and even more of the bands
set to play with us cancelled, but that did not and will not discourage us from
doing it again. And again and again. We currently as a band don't make much
profit yet from our shows, but that is because we are playing for the music and
not for the money. Money is great, but it doesn't make us better than any other
band, and its not what were about. We treat other band members and staff with
great respect and encourage most of those bands to play more shows with us at
later dates. We have been a band for about 4 years now and we have checked off
alot of things that most bands around our area has never done before. We have 2
CDs made, we have been interviewed by 2 radio stations in our state, and our
music is being played on both of those radio stations currently. 104.1 in Wausau
and 89.9 in Steven's Point. We have played on two tours and visited many states
and cities. We have almost run out of our 3rd shipment of t-shirts at bulk
shipments. We have our own youtube site,
www.youtube.com/wrathofthegirth
. Awesome. We are currently trying to set up a tour for late summer/early fall
which will make it our possible 3rd tour. We are going to be sending out press
kits to other radio stations, Venues, and record agents, hopefully hearing at
least somthing back from one or more of the places and/or people we've been
thinking about sending them to. We are also currently looking for a band
trailer. We have one available to us, but its a home-made wooden make-shift
trailer. Not very sturdy and no top. We could easily make a better one, but that
would also be wooden, we want a metal case trailer used or new for our travels.
It would be much easier for us to do that instead of loading everything in the
back of our band van. If anyone reading this knows where they can point us in
the right direction, let me or Sweeney know on our websites.
