Bio:
Evoked was formed in Stockbridge, Wisconsin in January of 2002. The original lineup consisted of founder, Jason Schumacher on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, lead guitarist Chuck Gilbertson, bassist Tony Megna, and drummer Jared Hooyman. After a year of writing songs, Evoked played their first show on January 4, 2003. In the next two years, the band recorded their debut album Inside and was voted one of the best local bands of 2004 by local heavy metal radio station Razor 94.7 FM. In March of 2004 they held their CD release party at Ryan's Ballroom in Combined Locks, Wisconsin, a haven for local musicians. Local veterans Profane and Lead helped them celebrate their achievement by warming up the audience. Though the band had good musical chemistry, three of the members decided to call it quits by January of 2005, for various personal reasons, leaving Jason at square one. Though, it was a crushing blow at the time, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise because, as a result, the band has acquired three amazing new musicians, and a new, incredible sound. The first of the three new additions was bassist extraordinaire, Cliff Duda, who was already in place when the remaining original members, excluding Jason, called it quits. The night they quit, Jason was on the phone recruiting heavy metal drummer, Jaime Varela who jumped at the chance to join his first band. After about two months of searching for the final ingredient, a lead guitarist, they were lucky enough to get a call from the very talented and innovative Brian "Fret" Adams; who not only possessed the edge they were looking for, but gave them a whole new sound by adding his vocals and unique technical playing style to the mix.

Evoked has since written new material and played throughout the midwest gaining new fans and climbing back to the top of the local music scene ladder. Evoked made it's come back in 2007 by locking a spot on the top 10 bands of the year list on Green Bay's local heavy station Razor 94.7.
Evoked continues to make a presence in the metal scene with their new release, Sign of The Seventh Seal Chapter One: The New Sessions. Expect nothing less than phenomenal. This new release features a new line up in the lead guitar, bass guitar and drum positions along with a whole new melodic, yet deep, heavy sound. The new album features a new breed of vocals that is unheard off in the heavy metal scene, intense guitar leads, deep rhythm, exceptional bass licks and intense drumming. By releasing this small four track issue, the band wants to show the masses what they've got in store for the next full length album. Evoked has played alongside many local, regional and national acts building onto their already impressive resume.
Expect a lot more great material from Evoked!
