THE STORY OF THE DISORDER

The band Life Disorder was not always the five man wrecking crew that it is today, actually only recently did they add the missing piece to there metal masterworks. Like anything the group has had its ups and its downs. Mostly Downs. The upside to constant problems and downfalls is that it makes them work that much harder. Besides there's no room for pissing and moaning in this line of work. The origin or the group can be traced back to the oldest and frontman Chad Kalhagen, a man blessed with the voice of an angel, an angel that can rip you a new asshole and then hush you to death in your sleep, its very raw and very brutal to hear him scream, but he has melody that goes far behind his screams reach, he's well rounded. Originally from Pardeeville, but grew up in Portage. Being a soul survivor or Catholic School, his rage was fueled. He wrote many songs, that the group still uses today, like the slow song FORWARD, one of his best lyrical accomplishments. He played with a lot of people in a few different experimental Death Metal groups, but they never really went anywhere, they played a few gigs, but nothing real.
The official Life Disorder Started in 2000. Chad being a new member of Edgerton Highschool, and the rest of the members already floating around there, the scene was almost set for intensity. The founding members met in a program called ELM HIGH DRIVE, it was the first ever student teacher, rock band, not your average sissy choir. Chad Kalhagen was introduced to Alex Pope and they went to work on a demo called CHAD KALHAGENS LIFE DISORDER, it was a very rough demo, it was only Vocals and Guitars, and the music style was way out there, but the voice came through Perfectly. The then two piece quickly added Tim Squire into the mix. The Three Piece had 2 guitars and a bass and a singer, but no drummer. They then dropped Pope and added Ian Dunlavy, they flip flopped members again, and then in 2001 the two were in the group at the same time, Pope and Dunlavy took turns playing bass and guitar while Tim remained lead guitars. The first drummer they had was named Adam he was only in the band a month, then he and Chad moved. Ending life Disorder for the first time. Upon Chad's return the group picked back up without Pope and with Dustin Hansen, another short time player. They worked on a lot of songs from the earlier demo, but still had no drummer. Ian Dunlavy had been kicked in and out of the band for years, gave Chad a tape of a kid from school Named Robert Pitera who played the drums. It was a sweet tape and he was in, and the group had its first real drummer, after getting the drummer they removed Ian and became a 4 piece and recorded there first EP called Death fades in, it featured the cornerstone of the bands originality but was not up to par for the group just yet.
That Summer Dustin Hansen was removed from the band and Ian was Added back as the bass player, this time to stay. They practiced more and harder then ever before. They finished the bands second EP called THREAT TO THE LIVING, it was closer to what the band was going for but it lacked the edge they wanted. They played a handful of little shows and parties here and there, and then for the second time due to some bullshit, the band split again. Awoken like a monster among demons in the early months of 2006. The band Rejoined to put together its fiercest line up yet. Chad holding down vocals, Robert on Skins, and Tim and Ian on guitar, saying fuck bass until they found one. The first song written was OVERRATED, a powerhouse of thrash metal and new school metal. Followed by Loser Bitch, another Thrash like song. With the Perfect Elements of Death and Thrash Metal, a little old school punk and just the right touch of hip hop, the sound was created. they like to call it DEATH POP. This was also the first time all and any members were writing songs. They are currently working on finishing up there first big EP entitled SURRENDER TO THE SOUND, it features a lot of Head splitting anger and hate filled lyrics. Guitar Riffs that can stomp your face in
from a mile away. The Percussion is much like war drums during the calm before the storm, the bass lines rip your nuts off from down below. The band is also starting to write there fallow up to Surrender, they said there gonna add more harmony and guitar leads, a little more Evil sound is brewing and were gonna try to add more punk, but in a good way, speed metal punk if you will. The band now writes lyrics as a whole, collaborates on song ideas as long as someone had already brought it to the table. Keep your nanners peeled for the release of surrender to the sound.
