Questions answered by Andrew
The name "Hebron " has a range of meanings such as 'colleague', 'unite', and 'friend'. But in Wisconsin, Hebron means that you are about to hear some aggressive, in-your-face metal that will leave you feeling inspired and wanting more. With their second album out titled "Resurrection" Hebron is taking the metal force by storm. Joining me is lead guitarist Andrew Hurd.
ADRENALIN: Andrew, thank you so much for taking time out to tell us more about Hebron. Since forming, Hebron is becoming more and more well known. Can you give us a little background of the band for all the new fans out there?
ANDREW: Not a problem at all. I’ve always got time to answer a few questions. I know a lot of people think we started in 2005 or around that area of time but we’ve been around and were formed in Dec. of 2001 right around the time of ole Jebus birthday haha. Yeah I am probably the only one that’s going to get a laugh out of that! Anyway… well to those of you that don’t know us or just heard of us. We’re a five piece asylum of metal. We live and breathe metal! All kinds! We started like I said in 2001 playing chickin shacks and shit like that.
ADRENALIN: I heard that some of you guys are related. Can you tell me more about the relationship you have with the other members of the band? |
|
ANDREW: We’re kind of the metal partridge family! Myself and Skelitor are related through blood. I’m his 9 month older uncle, and if you think that’s fucked up his sister married my best friend from high school and vocalist Dr. Dan so he is now my nephew in-law and skelitor’s brother in law! I played football with him in high school but never really knew him till we met at a Pantera concert. Creepy I’ve went to school with. We’re all brothers!
ADRENALIN: Can you tell us about your record label Misfortune Records and how that came to be?
ANDREW: Misfortune Records has been great for us! There all about keeping metal alive! We got hooked up with them through Hit music group out of California . Our rep for hit music was in a band called Skumlove. They were in Canada signing with Misfortune and while they were signing they gave the label our cd to listen to, the rest is history.
