Kill Cheerleader

KC: We started because there's a local bar that gives bands free beer to play and we wanted free beer. We used to change the band name every few months for fun. We were Cheerleader 666, Nazi Penis, Die, David Lee Rot, whatever made us laugh.

ADRENALIN: What was it that made you decide that music was what you wanted to do for a living?

KC: We're having fun. People who set out to make a living from music are lame.

ADRENALIN: How big affect did the 80's glam scene have on Kill Cheerleaders' sound and persona?

KC: We don't care about glam or personas. We like

the sounds of early Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Neil Young, Stooges. It doesn't matter what they looked like.

ADRENALIN:I know the band was heavily influenced by Guns n' Roses.  What is your take on what Axl is currently doing with the band?  Are you optimistic on the much anticipated Chinese Democracy?

KC: We only like their early shit. "Appetite" and "Lies". Anything after those 2 records can suck it.

ADRENALIN: Who are some artists you are currently listening to? Any bands you like that may surprise your fans?

KC: Crystal Castles. Cauldron. Skullfist. Don't care what anyone expects of us.

ADRENALIN: The band has spent time in LA, what was that like?

KC: Best time of our lives. Parties every night. Wake up somewhere new every morning.
