LOCKJAW |
|
ADRENALIN:
First of all, can you tell us where the name Lockjaw
came from and how that name is fitting for the band? MEDAVON: The name was inspired during what I like to call my acid phase. One of the fist symptoms of arsenic or poison in the blood is Lockjaw. Combined with my inability to free my inner voice at the time it seemed to make perfect sense that I should call my project Lockjaw. ADRENALIN: Can you tell us about the relationship that you hold with the other members? MEDAVON: It is on a deeper level then best friends or band mates. We really don't all go out a lot together or socialize as a band but when we are on stage it can feel like a religious experience. It's more like a gang then a band. But instead of weapons we have instruments. ADRENALIN: What drove you to start the Lockjaw expierence? MEDAVON: A blurred vision in the middle of a drug induced night. ADRENALIN: What are the main objectives for the band? MEDAVON: Fame and fortune, first and foremost. I didn't start a band to make money but I'm now at the point where I feel like I shouldn't have to worry if I'm gonna be able to pay my bills. We want to make a living at playing in this band. I want to be a rock star with money and know that I made it from creating great music that I'm proud of. ADRENALIN: What are you inspirations when writing the music? |
ADRENALIN: What is the craziest thing that has ever happened while playing? MEDAVON: There have been so many insane moments but most of them wouldn't be appropriate for an interview. We did do a show in November with the Nu Ethix suspension team. So there were actual humans hanging from hooks through their flesh and bleeding while we were playing. One was hanging above me like a crucified angel. It was definetly a surreal moment. ADRNEALIN: What sets Lockjaw apart from all the other bands? MEDAVON: We are completely honest in what we do and who we are.
We are always striving to improve our sound and our songs and we
believe in band evolution. |
